Frequently Asked Questions

Booking & Payment

We recommend booking at least 3–5 days in advance for day trips, and 2–3 weeks ahead for multi-day safaris, especially in the July–October and December–January peak seasons. That said, we regularly accommodate last-minute requests where availability allows — just reach out via WhatsApp or our contact form.
Submit an inquiry through any tour page, our contact form, or WhatsApp. Our team responds within a few hours with availability and a tailored quote. A deposit secures your date, with the balance payable before or on the day of travel, depending on the package.
We accept bank transfer, major credit/debit cards via secure payment link, and M-Pesa for guests already in Kenya. Full details are shared with your booking confirmation.
Prices listed are indicative per-person starting rates based on shared vehicles/boats and standard inclusions. Your final quote depends on group size, season, accommodation tier and any customisation — we always confirm exact pricing before you book.
Cancellations more than 7 days before departure receive a full refund less any non-recoverable third-party fees. Inside 7 days, cancellation fees may apply depending on the package — full terms are provided at booking confirmation.

On Safari & Tour Days

Light, neutral-coloured clothing, a hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, insect repellent, a camera or binoculars, and a light jacket for early-morning departures. Comfortable closed shoes are useful for walking sections at Gede or Marafa.
Yes — many of our marine, cultural and nature excursions are very family-friendly. Our multi-day safaris are equally suited to families; simply let us know ages when enquiring so we can advise on the best-fit itinerary.
As with any wild-animal safari, sightings cannot be 100% guaranteed, but our experienced driver-guides consistently deliver excellent game viewing in Tsavo and Amboseli, particularly for elephant, buffalo, lion and giraffe.
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, halal and allergen-specific meals can all be arranged. Please flag any dietary needs at the time of booking.

Logistics & Transport

Yes — all our tours include return transfers from hotels and villas across Watamu and Malindi. Guests staying further afield (e.g. Kilifi or the Diani coast) should mention this when enquiring for an adjusted quote.
Most guests fly into Malindi Airport (MYD) or Mombasa (MBA), both under 1.5 hours from Watamu by road. We can arrange airport transfers as part of any booking.
Yes — our 4x4 safari vehicles and marine vessels are fully licensed, regularly inspected, and operated by trained, certified drivers and skippers. Life jackets and first-aid kits are standard on all marine excursions.

Sustainability & Community

A portion of every booking contributes to marine park conservation levies, community conservancy fees, and direct partnerships with local guides, boat crews and host families — particularly on our cultural walks and homestead visits.
Yes — our guides brief every guest on responsible reef contact (no standing on coral, no touching marine life) and we encourage reef-safe sunscreen to protect the Marine Park ecosystem we depend on.
